My name is Matt Britt and I am from a small town in central Virginia called Louisa. I have been an avid Tarheel follower since I was very young. in fact, I could have gone in the completely opposite direction. You see my mom is a Cavalier, and my dad, the smart one, is a Tarheel; born and bred. In fact I think his blood might be a shade of light blue. I was raised in the era of Jeff McInnis and Jerry Stackhouse and came to expect fancy play from Vince Carter and Rascheed Wallace. I relied on Shammond Williams to hit the 3 and I always knew Eric Montross would come through with the board. other names that stick out from early Heel-hood are Dante Calabria, Antawn Jamison, and the ever impressive guidance of The Dean Smith with coach "Gut" by his side.
Now I am proud to be one of the elite that gather at my house in September that travel to Franklin Road for midnight madness every year. Granted, it's just my dad, my uncle and I, but I feel so much importance when we can all agree that the upcoming season will be the turn around year with Roy Williams at the helm of the new Heel's dynasty.
